Competition for gray in interiors

Konkurencja dla szarości we wnętrzach

Gray, drab and gloomy - until recently, grays were associated only with autumn slush, sadness and lack of sun. However, for several years, gray in interiors has been associated with style, class and elegance. It is a universal color that goes with almost everything, so it is not surprising that it reigns in Polish interiors. However, we are slowly returning to warmer colors of nature: light beige, warm brown or straw . These colors in the company of white and wooden accessories look beautiful, cozy and natural.

Closer to nature every day

Environmental protection and being eco are hot topics. And fortunately, more and more people are starting to see the reality of climate change and give up bad habits. So we go to stores with cotton bags, we give up plastic, we buy less and better quality things, or we limit the amount of meat we eat. We also start repairing more often instead of throwing away, and we give away or sell unnecessary items, thus giving them a second life.

As you know, to change the world, you first have to change yourself , that's why the new lifestyle is most visible in our homes. To be closer to nature, we replace synthetic materials with natural ones, such as cotton, wool, leather or wood . We also like to reach for recycled knitwear, which is produced in an environmentally friendly way. And we start to surround ourselves with plants and earthy colors that make us feel safer, cozier and closer to nature.

Earthy colors in your bedroom

Earth Power – this is the name of the Color of the Year 2021. It is a warm, neutral and nature-inspired color, reminiscent of coffee with milk. According to the manufacturer, Earth Power is a color "reflecting the current moment of our times":

The 2021 trend forecast shows that we are all re-evaluating what is truly important in our lives. We will find a new, positive direction of development through self-confidence, cooperation, building and planning for the future. Making changes takes courage, and our homes can give us solid support and a field for developing our creativity (dulux.pl).

The colours we surround ourselves with have a huge influence on us. Blue soothes and inspires, red motivates and stimulates to action, and orange supports creativity and adds energy. However, it is easy to overdo it with expressive colors, achieving a completely opposite effect: an interior dominated by blue can be cold, red walls can be irritating, and an excess of orange can make it difficult to relax. The situation is completely different in the case of earthy colors, which look good in any quantity, creating an arrangement full of peace, harmony and nature.

Styling with moyha textiles

Looking for inspiration for your bedroom design? Latte, beige, straw and cinnamon are serious competition for grey in interiors. We present our favorite styles with natural colors in the lead role.

LATTE, or textiles in the color of coffee with milk

Bedspread from the collection WOOLEN WEAVE in a soothing latte color, it works phenomenally with white, straw and oriental motifs. Although this color is usually called "taupe", we associate it with our favorite coffee, which tastes best in bed. The moyha bedspread is soft, cozy and non-biting, so not only is it a beautiful decoration for a natural bedroom, but it also pleasantly wraps and warms.

Nothing without BEIGE!

Beige is defined as a combination of yellow and brown and is associated with natural fabrics such as linen or silk. We do not hide the fact that it is one of our favorite decorative colors, thanks to which you can easily and quickly introduce naturalness to the bedroom.

What does beige go with? The truth is, it goes with everything. Our beige bedspread from the collection SIMPLY WOOL it goes beautifully with white, gray and wood, creating cozy, harmonious and romantic arrangements. To complete the whole, you can add a fluffy shaggy rug, hang macrame on the wall and take care of atmospheric lighting.

The beige WOOL CLASSIC bedspread looks equally good in combination with dark colors, such as rustic wood, navy blue, anthracite, and even black. A beige element in a dark interior will make the bedroom cozy and elegant at the same time.

Contrary to appearances, beige also works great in austere, loft interiors. Just look at the bedspread from the collection LIKE A FAVORITE SWEATER , which phenomenally complements the interior dominated by brick, metal and wood. The green accent is also of no small importance here, which together with beige gives the interior a cosy feel. This industrial styling fits into the fashion for unisex interiors, which are universal and suited to both female and male taste.

Light beige has also joined our bestselling collection JAK ULUBIONA BLUZA ( https://www.moyha.com/kolekcja/jak-ulubiona-bluza/narzuta-ulubiona-piaskowa ), diversifying the grey, camel and navy blue textiles made of thick cotton jersey.

Natural STRAW - closer to the sun

A summer bike ride, full sun and bales of straw in every field we pass. No other colour brings to mind the sun, carefree holidays in the countryside with grandparents, harmony and living in harmony with nature. It is no wonder that in the collection LAZY MORNING there was a straw throw with a simple, loose weave. Made of recycled cotton yarn, inspired by long summer mornings, when the whole world wakes up and the sun slowly begins to warm our sleepy bodies. It doesn't take much to bring out all its beauty - just a few accessories in white, straw and wood.

CINNAMON not only for holidays

The scent of cinnamon contains all the magic of the holidays. However, this does not mean that cinnamon is reserved exclusively for the holiday season. At moyha, we are amazed by the reddish-brown color of cinnamon, which we proudly include in our collections. Cinnamon throw from the series LAZY MORNING in combination with a woolen bedspread in anthracite color and our iconic white bedding it looks elegant, noble and beautiful. Rusty cinnamon introduces a breath of nature to the bedroom and harmoniously complements the contrast of white and anthracite.

Gray is a universal color and we are not against it at all – we love it too! When arranging a bedroom, it is worth turning to other colors that soothe, relax and give a sense of security. Latte, beige, straw or cinnamon – which color do you choose? :)

Warm hugs,

Magda
