What do you associate autumn with? Although until recently the end of the holidays meant an introduction to autumn depression for many, for several years we have been observing the "disenchantment" of autumn. We have the impression that it started with the publication of guides on hygge , or the Danish art of happiness. For years, the Danes have been proving that you can be the happiest country in the world without living in a warm region. Instead of complaining that the days are getting shorter and it's cold and rainy outside, Scandinavians light up their homes, take out warm blankets, prepare hot cocoa and invite friends over. According to the online Dictionary of the Polish Language autumn is a "lover of autumn", "a girl who likes autumn, showing sympathy for this season, autumn clothes, moods, drinks", and also "a person who loves autumn, spends evenings under a blanket drinking tea/cocoa and reading books. She has a supply of scented candles and sweaters". We first heard about autumn lovers in 2019, when this neologism took second place in the plebiscite for Youth Word of the Year .
