In these difficult times, we all need solace. Many of us feel information overload and can't put our smartphones down, which leads to constant anxiety, fear for the future, and insomnia. This behavior even has a name - doomscrolling is the habit of compulsively following information that makes us feel negative. Why do we do it? It's all because of the desire to understand the world around us and an attempt to find comforting news. However, it's worth remembering that the media thrives on human fear, and the virtual world is flooded with fake news. Instead of following information all day, find a trusted source that you will browse for 15 minutes a day. Spend the remaining time working, sleeping, bathing, doing sports, taking a walk, reading, watching movies, meeting friends, or volunteering. You won't change anything by stressing out, and in order to take care of others, you must first take care of yourself. The best way we know is to design a space that is conducive to rest - one that stress, anxiety, and panic have no access to.
You can create a cozy zone in both the bedroom and the living room. There is also nothing to stop you from creating several mini relaxation zones throughout the house. However, it is worth creating one place that no one else has access to (well, maybe apart from your cat, dog or loved one) - you can arrange such a space according to your own needs, without making any concessions.
A space conducive to relaxation should be soft, cozy and natural . How to achieve this effect? In a very simple way: focusing on materials and colors.
Invite peace into your bedroom
Our skin rests best when it comes into contact with materials that are pleasant to the touch. The first thing that comes to mind is of course cotton - thick, thick and warm. Cotton can be used at any time of the year, as it is a material with excellent hygroscopic properties. This means that cotton duvets and bedspreads absorb moisture very well, which is why they provide the skin with high comfort. Cotton is also breathable and airy, and at the same time does not cause allergies or irritations. Another advantage is easy cleaning - you can regularly wash cotton bed linen, bedspreads and pillowcases in a home washing machine, preferably at a maximum temperature of 40°C.
A bedroom that is conducive to rest should also be kept in neutral, subdued colours that do not tire the eyes and do not overload the mind. It is therefore worth giving up intense colours and colourful prints in favour of neutral anthracite, espresso, graphite, navy blue, caramel, coffee with milk, sand or grey. You will find such colours in our natural collection JAK ULUBIONA BLUZA , in which new products have just appeared: bedspreads and pillowcases in anthracite, coffee with milk and espresso!
Each pillowcase and bedspread from this series is distinguished by its high content of natural cotton (80% or 100%). Models consisting of 80% cotton have skin-friendly viscose. LIKE A FAVORITE SWEATSHIRT is a dream collection for cuddling, which cannot be missing in your sleep and relaxation zone. Subdued colors look beautiful in combination with moyha knitted bedding , which is again available in full sizes! You can combine bedding, bedspreads and pillowcases on the principle of contrasts (e.g. a white duvet with an espresso bedspread) or decide on one favorite color available in both collections (anthracite or gray). There are no bad choices here. :)
It's always a good time for a cuddle!
Do you know what makes cuddling so enjoyable? It's not magic, but a hormone produced by each of us called oxytocin . It's not without reason that it's sometimes called the hormone of love, happiness and cuddling - oxytocin is released when the brain registers a pleasant touch on the skin. As a result, stress levels are reduced and our breathing becomes calmer. So remember that there's always a good time for cuddling. This applies not only to people and animals, but also to stuffed animals, pillows and soft materials. Everything that's soft and pleasant to the touch is suitable for cuddling. At moyha, we have plenty of such natural cuddle toys! Wrap yourself from head to toe in a warm cotton throw and take a cat, a beloved stuffed animal or a large pillow in your arms. Don't forget to cuddle every day - your body really needs it!
We hug you tight!
