However, it is worth noting the expression that perfectly reflects the role of grey in interior design. Of course, we are talking about the grey eminence - this term describes someone seemingly insignificant and imperceptible, who in reality has a decisive influence on the final appearance of a given matter. It is similar with the use of grey in interiors - seemingly imperceptible, it is a perfect complement to the whole and influences the final appearance of the arrangement . How does grey affect your well-being?
Is grey depressing? Yes and no. It all depends on the person. Some people feel good in rooms filled with intense colours, others respond much better to interiors decorated in muted colours. We definitely belong to #teamszarzość , mainly because it is a neutral colour, ideal as a base for other colours.
In excess, it can be depressing, so it is worth combining it with other colors. If you decide on gray walls , choose light gray and place it on only two or three walls. You can paint the remaining walls a different color or put patterned wallpaper on them. Another option is to combine gray walls with carpet or wooden flooring in a warm shade - this solution will introduce a cozy atmosphere to the interior.

Gray is not the same as gray. We distinguish between light and dark grays, cool and warm, more and less saturated. It would probably be easier to say what colors don't go with gray, although here too we would have a big problem with choosing colors. Gray is the new black , so it goes with almost everything. It is definitely a neutral and basic color that looks great both on large surfaces and as accessories.
While colors such as red or bottle green look best in small quantities, gray can be boldly used to decorate walls, floors, and ceilings. Thanks to the wide range of shades, you can easily create an effective, multi-layered arrangement with gray as the main character. Another advantage of gray is that it beautifully highlights other colors and brings out the best in them.
In modern interiors, the combination of gray with black and white is very popular. Breaking gray with white and black looks extremely elegant, although modern interiors are also quite cold. To add a bit of coziness to the arrangement, it is worth betting on wooden accessories or stronger color accents.
In the company of gray, the color yellow feels great, in excess it is a bit overwhelming, and in the form of accessories it improves the mood and adds energy.
